AFMC MBBS Counselling 2017: Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is accepting online counselling, screening registration for Admission in MBBS courses via mcc.nic.in portal. AFMC Pune Online registration started on 3rd July 2017 to 11 July 2017 (1700 hrs). The list of candidate opted for AFMC Pune is published online on 12 July 2017. AFMC, Pune is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and is recognized by the Medical Council of India. Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is a premier medical institute of India. The College is a Centre of Excellence for medical education and research. It was initially established in 1948 for postgraduate courses. The graduate wing for the MBBS course was started on 04 Aug 1962 with the aim of inducting medical graduates to the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
Bond Agreement AFMC Pune
The candidate applying for AFMC Pune MBBS admission 2017 must check the BOND AGREEMENT. Bond agreement for 28,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Eight Lakhs only). Any candidate withdrawing from the college after 7 days of admission [after 1600hrs (4 PM)] will have to pay Bond Money as per existing rules.
Total Seats in AFMC Pune
A total of 130 medical cadets (105 boys & 25 girls) will be admitted for the year 2017. In addition to the above 130 seats, Govt of India at its discretion through Ministry of External Affairs & Ministry of Defence may sponsor and select foreign students from friendly foreign countries for MBBS training in AFMC, under their aid/collaboration programmes.
Ten seats out of 130 are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) subject to the provisions.
Screening or Interview Process
The candidate must note that, last date of choice filling/ AFMC Pune NEET-UG registration is 11 July till 1700 hrs at www.mcc.nic.in website. The AFMC Pune shall shortlist candidate based on score and upload the candidate list online at http://www.afmcdg1d.gov.in on 13 July 2017.
Approximately 1500 candidates (1200 boys and 300 girls) will be called for the screening to be held on/after 18 July 2017. Request for change of date of interview will NOT be entertained except under extreme circumstances. List of selected/ waitlisted candidates available on website is uploaded on 29 July 2017.
The candidates will be required to produce originals of all certificates/marks sheets, NEET UG – 2017 admit card (hall ticket), NEET UG score card and original certificate of NCC, Sports certifícate at school, District, State & National /International level if any at the time of the screening at AFMC Pune. All candidates will produce result or proof of having appeared in the qualifying examination held on or before 30 Apr 2017 at the time of the screening (if the result of such examination has not been declared). Original mark sheet & pass certificate of qualifying examination, however will have to be produced prior to admission.

On the basis of the NEET UG – 2017 score and screening at AFMC, two merit lists, one for boys and one for girls, will be drawn up and admissions will be offered only to these shortlisted candidates in accordance with their final merit position. The remaining candidates will be on the waiting list. The result will be displayed on the website stated above and at the O/o DGAFMS and Admission cell AFMC Pune.
Candidates admitted to AFMC for MBBS course have a compulsory liability to serve as Commissioned Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services. The offer of the type of commission will depend upon the vacancies available and shall be determined on merit-cum- option at the final MBBS examination. The liability of the SSC officers passing out of AFMC to serve in the Armed Forces Medical Services would be 7 (seven) years. Complete details of Service Liability & Bond Agreement will be given to the candidates shortlisted for the screening.
At the time of admission parents/guardians of the candidates are required to sign a bond agreement for Rs 28,00,000/– (Rupees Twenty Eight Lakhs only). Any candidate withdrawing from the college after 7 days of admission [after 1600hrs (4 PM)] will have to pay Bond Money as per existing rules.
AFMC Pune MBBS College is fully residential and stay in the hostel is compulsory for all medical cadets with service liability. Separate hostels for boys and girls are located in the college campus. The hostel accommodation is available for service liability candidates. If a medical cadet is removed from service liability on account of being found medically unfit for commission or on disciplinary/academic grounds he/she will have to make his/her own arrangements for stay
Food & Mess
All medical cadets residing in the hostel are required to be members of the Mess attached to the hostel. Vegetarian / non-vegetarian food is served in the cadets’ mess as per the choice of the medical cadets.
Games & Extra-Curricular
Medical cadets are required to particípate in games, sports and gymnastics. Facilities for sports such as cricket, tennis, squash, hockey, football, volleyball, basketball, handball, table tennis, aquatics and gymnastics are available.
(a) There is an auditorium for screening of movies, membership for which is compulsory.
(b) Medical cadets with service liability are entitled to free outpatient/inpatient/dental treatment at all times in any service hospital/dental centre to the extent of medical facilities available locally. Periodic Medical Examination/Medical Board as considered necessary would also be carried out.
(c) All medical cadets are required to undergo an Annual Medical Examination.
NEET-UG 2017 passed by the candidate, on the result of which they become eligible to apply for admission to the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune (i.e. Class 10 + 2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology).
Rank and Salary
The cadet commissioned from AFMC Pune Salary Chart is given below. Armed Forces Medical Services as Commissioned Officers in one of the three services, viz. Army, Navy and Air Force. On the basis of merit-cum-choice, 50% of the medical cadets are offered Permanent Commission (PC) and the rest Short Service Commission (SSC). Promotions to next higher ranks exist in the Cadre subject to satisfactory service and fitness for the rank.
